While six Boston Red Sox players heard their names called during the announcement of the American league All-Star team, Tuesday night, second baseman Dustin Pedroia was not among them.

Fear not, though, Red Sox fans. You can still vote the veteran second baseman onto the roster, as he has been pegged as one of the five AL players named to the "Final Vote" group.

Pedroia, along with Detroit Tigers second baseman Ian Kinsler, Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria, Toronto Blue Jays outfielder Michael Saunders and Houston Astros outfielder George Springer will all have one last chance to make the AL roster, ahead of next Tuesday's 87th annual MLB All-Star game.

Fans will have until 4:00 p.m. ET Friday to vote for one of the five players. While a middle infielder has never one the final vote in any of its first 14 years of existence, Boston fans could turn that around by selecting Pedroia.

Through the first three months of the season, Pedroia has slashed .306/.368/.445 and notched 101 hits, including eight homers. He's also driven in 34 runs and scored another 52, batting at the top of the powerful Boston lineup.
