Pedestrian Struck in East Bridgewater Accident

EAST BRIDGEWATER — A Whitman man is seriously hurt after being struck by a car in East Bridgewater over the weekend.

Police and Fire personnel responded to a report of an accident just after 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Harvard Street. Upon arrival, the 66-year-old victim was found in the roadway after being hit by a car. The man was transported to Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston with serious injuries.

The driver of the 2017 Nissan Altima that hit the man remained at the scene. She has been identified only as a 47-year-old West Bridgewater woman.

No charges have been filed against her.

The incident remains under investigation.
