According to Josh Katzenstein of The Times-PicayuneIan Rapoport of the NFL Network added

In his last two seasons, Cooks has emerged as a top flight wide out, catching at least 78 balls for over 1,100 yards in both campaigns. He has also totaled 17 scores over the last two seasons.

If the Pats were to get Cooks, he would slot in as a down field threat that would add big play capabilities to the already strong New England offense.
