Despite missing all of last season with a fractured leg, it appears that James Develin is still in the long term plans of the New England Patriots.

According to Jeff Howe of the Boston Herald, the team and the fullback have agreed on a deal to keep the 27-year-old in the New England backfield for at least another season, among other moves.

Develin, who suffered a fractured leg in a preseason game against the Carolina Panthers and was placed on season-ending IR prior to the regular season, expressed his excitement to be back with the club via his twitter account, earlier today.

The fourth-year pro was set to become a restricted free agent, prior to the deal.
