Bill Belichick, arguably one of the greatest head coaches in the history of professional football, is also among the most private. Coach Belichick's personal life is seldom the subject of headlines.

Whenever a reporter inquired about Belichick's personal life, he'd shut it down with an icy glare and a few curt words.

What may have been Belichick's final season with the New England Patriots ended badly with a 17-3 loss to the rival New York Jets and a 4-13 season record, the team's worst since going 2-14 in 1992.

When times were good, however, they were the best.

Belichick led the New England Patriots to 17 division titles, 13 AFC Championship games, nine Super Bowls, and six Super Bowl wins.

William Stephen Belichick was born in Nashville, Tennessee on April 16, 1952. Following assistant coaching stints with the Colts, Lions, Broncos, and Giants, Belichick got his first head coaching opportunity with the Browns in 1991. When that didn't work out, he went back to being an assistant coach with the Patriots and Jets.

Belichick then had an infamous one-day tenure as head coach of the Jets in 2000 before he resigned and then took the heading coaching job with the New England Patriots shortly after.

During his time in New England, Belichick coached some of the greatest players ever to play for the NFL, including Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski.

Now 71 years old and at the crossroads of his career, Bill Belichick is worth an estimated $60 million.

According to ProFootballNetwork.com, Belichick's home in Hingham, Massachusetts, "includes three bedrooms, three bathrooms, and 4,400 square feet." The site says Belichick's house "is located right off a golf course and features a large wine cellar" and a large patio.

The Hingham home is worth around $2 million.

New England Sports Network says Belichick has six houses on Nantucket in what Pro Football Network calls a "compound."

Both sites say Belichick began buying up houses on the island in 1979. The compound is said to be worth $10 million. Nantucket is where Belichick keeps his fishing boat.

If Bill Belichick does lose his job with the New England Patriots, at least he won't have to worry about a place to live.
