Patrick Disputes Bump’s Welfare Report

The Patrick administration is disputing a report from state auditor Suzanne Bump showing widespread mismanagement in the state's welfare department.

Health and Human Services Secretary John Polanowicz says his numbers don't jibe with hers. State Rep Tom Conroy and Governor Patrick are calling Bump's report "inaccurate." Bump says she took a snapshot in time comparing welfare rolls with Social Security data.
