OSHA Investigating Taunton Crane Collapse
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) is investigating a fatal aerial lift collapse in Taunton on Monday.
A spokesman with the Bristol County District Attorney's office tells the Associated Press says the victim, identified as a 48-year-old man, was working on a brick chimney at St. Mary's Primary School in Taunton.
It's believed the man was on a platform when a boom lift fell over.
The unidentified man was taken to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
ABC 6 is reporting that he was an employee of Skyline Contracting & Roofing Corp.
OSHA is investigating to verify if there were any workplace safety violations.
