OPINION | Chris McCarthy: Stop Calling All Immigrants ‘Animals’

President Trump called murderers in the MS-13 gang "animals," but the left has twisted that statement into calling all immigrants "animals." 

The international organized crime gang MS-13 is involved in drug trafficking, human trafficking, murder, rape, robbery, and assaults. The honest people know the members of MS-13 are animals, and they know our president is correct to label them as such.

When the left twists the words of their political opponent, currently the President of the United States, they demonize all legal immigrants. They are calling all immigrants "animals" when they falsely claim Donald Trump made that statement. They are intentionally lying for their political agenda, and hurting innocent immigrants.

People who are legal immigrants are intentionally being lumped in with the MS-13 criminals to serve the short-term selfish goals of political activists and politicians. They are being told the president of their new nation believes they are "animals." Imagine how you would feel if you had followed all the rules and regulations to come legally to America, and you were called an "animal" by the president?

The Democrats and the left wing media are lying to intentionally scare and traumatize legal immigrants. This lying is a disgusting tactic and a horribly cruel hoax.

The twisting of the president's words gives cover to the rapists and murderers while terrifying the very new Americans our country welcomes. Nancy Pelosi and her co-conspirators know the president was speaking about members of the violent street gang MS-13, and not all immigrants to the country.

The victim of this lie by the Democrats isn't Donald Trump. The president has the power and the resources to answer his opponents with the truth. The victims of this smear are the legal immigrants in America. The victims are the people who believe the lie that the president has called them "animals," and that he believes it. The victim of the lie is America's reputation in the world. The real winners are the maladjusted haters who will believe the Democrats' lie and treat immigrants like animals--or worse.

The left has intentionally lumped all immigrants in with the criminals of MS-13 and that is disgusting. Will the responsible liberals condemn this dangerous rhetoric, or will they stay intimidated and stay silent?
