Did State Police Really Deliver Pizza to Migrants at Logan Airport?
During the height of the Healey Administration's migrant crisis in 2023, thousands of immigrants poured into Massachusetts, many seeking refuge at Boston Logan International Airport, including a place to sleep and a bite to eat. Massachusetts State Police did, in fact, deliver pizzas to many of those immigrants who were given temporary shelter in the airport terminal.
Governor Maura Healey has neither confirmed nor denied reports about state police officers delivering pizza to the immigrants, most of whom had only recently been granted permission from the Biden Administration to stay in the country and travel within its borders.
Healey stated that overall conditions at the airport had become unsustainable, according to CBS Boston. "We've never thought that Logan was an appropriate place for people to be staying overnight," she said. The station said that's when migrant families were "banned from sleeping overnight" at the airport.

Eyewitness Reports and Talk Radio Debates
The reports of pizza-delivering staties got a lot of airplay on my show and on The Howie Carr Show, prompting some to question their authenticity.
Official Confirmation From Crisis Responders
Kate Moore, director of emergency services for North Suffolk Community Services, an organization that supports the Logan Airport Crisis Response Team, confirmed the reports to Boston's WBUR.
"We'll have people who haven't eaten in days, and so we've had troopers or [Logan] employees buy 15 pizzas," Moore told the station.

Unanswered Questions: Who Funded the Deliveries?
Who paid for the pizzas and how many pizza deliveries state police troopers made remain unclear. Though it has been suggested that the troopers paid for the pizzas, no one has substantiated it.
Timeline of Massachusetts Emergency Migrant Declaration
Healey declared a state of emergency over the migrant crisis on August 8, 2023, and lifted it two years later in August 2025.
