A twice-deported illegal alien was allegedly driving drunk when he struck and killed a member of the Indianapolis Colts on I-70 in Indiana yesterday.

Police say 37-year-old Manuel Orrego-Savala blew a .15 when police caught up with him not far from the crash scene just after 4 a.m. yesterday. Colts linebacker Edwin Jackson, 24, and Uber driver, Jeffrey Monroe, 54, were in the breakdown lane when they were struck by Orrego-Savala's vehicle.

Orrego-Savala is a Guatemalan who also uses the alias of Alex Cabrera Gonsales. According to Fox News reports Orrego-Savala was operating without a license. Fox says Orrego-Savala has a lengthy paper trail under the Gonsales alias. How does that happen?

As we continue to debate the need for immigration reform, and an end to sanctuary cities, and greater border security it infuriates me that American lives are being lost at the hands of criminal illegals.  Orrego-Savala should not have been in the country at all. After being deported twice how is it that he managed to return?

There is nothing compassionate about protecting people such as Orrego-Savala from being prosecuted. If a border wall would make it even more difficult for people like Orrego-Savala from entering the country it would be worth the investment.
