A boating crash Saturday on Watson Pond in Taunton killed one person and injured two others.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney;s office and the Mass. State Police, the speed boats were competing in the "Bill Giles Memorial Regatta," when three boats collided around 1pm.

All three operators were ejected into the water.  Members of the Taunton Fire Department;s Dive Team were present at the event and quickly pulled  the drivers from the water.

One of the boaters, a 39-year old New Hampshire man died at the scene. The other two drivers were hospitalized with serious injuries.  No names have been released.

Mass. State police and Mass. Environmental Police continue to investigate.
