One Dead, One Arrested in Brockton Shooting

BROCKTON — A fatal shooting in Brockton remains under investigation.

The city's ShotSpotter system, along with 911 reports, alerted police to gunshots on Highland Street just before midnight on Friday night.

Police found the victim, a 32-year-old man, in a parking lot.

The man was transported to Good Samaritan Medical Center in Brockton where he was pronounced dead. His name has not been released.

Police arrested a man in connection to the shooting on Saturday. His identity is also being withheld.

It was Brockton's second murder of the year.
