Car Dealer Ernie Boch, Jr. Giving Away Free Gas April 1 in Norwood
Billionaire car dealer Ernie Boch, Jr. is giving away free gas tomorrow for something he’s calling “April Fuels” – and he swears it’s not a joke.
According to a post on his Facebook page, Boch will be giving away 7,000 gallons of free gas at the Rojo Car Wash on Route 1 in Norwood. The giveaway will begin at 7 a.m. and presumably last until all the gas is gone.
Boch said it will be the “available octane of your choice” and that it will be “first come, first serve, one vehicle at a time.”
Again, Boch swears this is not an April Fool’s Day prank. If anyone can afford to give away 7,000 gallons of gas, it’s him. With an average gas price in Massachusetts today of $4.25 per gallon, according to AAA, that means Boch is spending $29,750 on the promotion – not a bad deal for the amount of publicity he’ll get.
Boch did say there are more details to come, so keep an eye on his Facebook page.
Surely, there will be intensely long lines, but it just might be worth it if you’ve been feeling the pain at the pump.
