Now that the summer weather is finally here, it’s the perfect time to hop in the car, roll down the windows and take a trip through the Boston suburbs to get the ultimate experience straight out of the 1960s.

Let’s turn back the clock and enjoy a good old-fashioned diner in Norwood, Massachusetts.

The Sixties Diner is a brand-new restaurant serving breakfast and lunch daily, and when you walk through the doors, you'll be transported back in time with the themed décor.

A classic black-and-white checkered floor spans the entire dining area with booths that line the walls and tables in the center of the establishment.  A circular bar gives old-timey vibes and photos of popular actors and movies from the '60s adorn the walls in bright colors, making the atmosphere a vibrant experience.

The menu has no shortage of classic items along with new modern dishes. You can sink your teeth into various types of eggs benedict, loaded waffles, omelets and the forever favorite of eggs with bacon and home fries, or enjoy avocado toast with a perfectly fried egg nestled right on top of the avocado spread.

Better than the food itself are the names of some of the meals. Giving a nod to the times choose from Chuck “Berry’s” Pancakes, the Ricky Ricardo Burrito, Laverne and Shirley Cinnamon Swirl French Toast, and Elvis’ Favorite, chocolate chip pancakes topped with bananas and peanut butter. The Fonzi, The Joanie, and The Chachi take up the yummy lunch menu.

There is something for everyone on the menu and a trip to The Sixties Diner offers a memorable (and delicious) experience.
