Northern Lights Off Nantucket

Maybe you heard the news about a solar flare yesterday afternoon. Maybe you noticed your phones and GPS acting up during that time. Well, not only did the solar flare interfere with your electronics, but it pulled the Northern Lights further south. So far in fact, that Aurora Borealis could be seen off of Nantucket!

My twin sister and I used to love the movie "Balto." We loved wolves and the cartoon was hysterical. But Kayla was in awe of the pretty lights that flickered through that Alaskan sky. She decided very early on that witnessing these colors for herself would make the Top Ten on her bucket list. We're still saving up for our trip.
