No Verizon FiOS Service On The Way For New Bedford

People who had been wondering if they would be able to switch providers to Verizon FiOS will have to wait. There are no plans on it coming to the 'Whaling City' in the near future. Southcoast Today reports that as of right now, the residents of New Bedford will have to stick with their current TV and internet services, because FiOS isn't planning on dropping by anytime soon.

A spokes person for Verizon FiOS said that their primary focus when bring FiOS to an area is that they can build out. FiOS is offered in 112 communities in Massachusetts, but most of those are wealthy suburbs around the Boston area,
