NFL Owners To Vote On Eliminating Tuck Rule
The NFL's tuck rule could be on its way out. The league's competition committee is proposing eliminating the rule that became infamous during a Patriots-Raiders playoff game in January 2002. If approved, it will be ruled a fumble when a quarterback loses control of the ball as he tries to bring it back to his body after a pump fake. It's currently an incompletion. League owners will vote on this and other rule changes at the NFL owners meetings starting Sunday in Phoenix.
