BOSTON (WBSM) — A New Bedford man has been indicted for allegedly possessing a gun and ammunition while on the grounds of an elementary school in Foxboro.

According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office, Jameel Clark-White, 32, was indicted today by a federal grand jury on one count of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, and one count of possessing a firearm in a school zone.

Details of the Alleged Firearm Possession

Clark-White was allegedly in possession of a .45-caliber Glock 41 pistol and 49 rounds of .45-caliber ammunition within 1,000 feet of the Charles G. Taylor Elementary School in Foxboro on June 12, 2025.

Upcoming Court Appearance and Possible Sentencing

He is scheduled to appear in federal court in Boston at a later date. If he is convicted of being a felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition, he could face up to 15 years in prison, up to three years of supervised release and a fine of up to $250,000. The charge of possessing a firearm in a school zone provides for a sentence up to five years in prison, up to one year of supervised release and a fine of up to $100,000.

Prior Criminal Record and Arrest History

Clark-White was arrested back in July 2025 in Bangor, Maine while being sought on multiple warrants out of Massachusetts for drug possession, possession of a machine gun, three counts of possession of a large-capacity firearm, carrying a loaded firearm without a license, firearm violation with three prior violent drug crimes, carrying firearm on school grounds, receiving stolen property, leaving the scene of property damage accident, and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended.

He had been previously released on bond from Massachusetts, Middlesex Superior Court for both robbery and carjacking while armed with a firearm, assault and battery with dangerous weapon with serious bodily injury, attempted assault and battery with a firearm, cocaine trafficking, fentanyl trafficking, carrying a firearm without a license (second offense), possession of a firearm with large capacity magazine, in addition to other charges.

Additional Charges in Bangor, Maine

While being held at the Bangor jail, Clark-White was also allegedly found in possession of a quantity of drugs and faced additional charges of trafficking Schedule W and trafficking in prison contraband.
