
Teen Victims Identified in Fatal New Bedford Route 140 Crash
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — The identities of the teenagers killed in a crash on Route 140 in New Bedford last weekend have now been released.

Bristol County District Attorney Thomas M. Quinn III announced today the victims in the crash were Gabriel Bertolino Sequeira, 17, of West Yarmouth, and Anne Urbanski De Carvalho, 15, of Dartmouth.
According to a Facebook post from Dennis Yarmouth Regional High School, Sequeira was a senior at the school and a varsity soccer player. The school called him “a cherished member of our community” and said “his presence touched the lives of many.”

Emergency Responders Find Car in Wooded Area
Just before 2 a.m. on November 1, Massachusetts State Police received a 911 call reporting a single-car crash near mile marker 2.1 on Route 140 south in New Bedford.
First responders arrived to find a gray 2019 Honda Civic in the wooded area off to the right of the road with significant damage to the passenger side. The two victims had been ejected from the vehicle. Sequeira was pronounced deceased at the scene, while De Carvalho was taken to a local hospital, where she was pronounced deceased a short time later.
Driver Survives With Non-Life-Threatening Injuries
The driver of the vehicle, an 18-year-old male from Dartmouth, was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening. His identity has not been released.
Investigation Into Fatal Crash Ongoing
The D.A.’s Office said the investigation into the crash is ongoing.
