New Wood School Set To Open In Fairhaven

Students of the Leory L. Wood Elementary School will start the school year of with a brand new, state of the art building.

Located on Sconticut Neck Rd. In Fairhaven, the $24 million project is nearing completion. Schools officals say the project is on budget and on time.

Project Superintendent Rchard Senna of CTA Construction says crews have not encouncted any setbacks.

Senna says the school has state of the art features including automic lights in every classroom, a buzzer entry system, and a large playground the students will enjoy.

Town officals plan to host an open house in the near future but no date has been set.
