New Event Brings Food Trucks Inside Providence Zoo This November
For the first time ever, Roger Williams Park Zoo is bringing food trucks inside the zoo grounds for a Veterans Day event the whole family can enjoy.
On Friday November 11, Roger Williams Park Zoo is throwing their first Food Truck FriDay event where zoo goers will find food trucks parked throughout the zoo grounds during regular hours and serving tasty treats while you enjoy the animals.
The event is perfect for spending a fall day out and about while enjoying what is hopefully sunshine filled skies. Plus with it being the Veterans Day holiday, the whole crew should be able to attend.
The zoo says Food Truck FriDay will take place from 11 A.M. until 3 P.M. and those that attend can "can try sweet and savory food from trucks located around the Zoo and enjoy live musical entertainment and visits with our animal residents."
So bring your appetites, and your wallets of course. Though the event is part of your zoo admission, getting a bite to eat from the various trucks will be additional dollars.
Sort of surprising that this is the first time food trucks will fill the zoo grounds. Roger Williams Park has long held Food Truck Friday events throughout the spring and summer at the Carousel Village, but this is going to bring the trucks right into the zoo itself.
No word on what local food trucks will be taking part in the event yet, but the zoo is partnering with PVD Food Truck Events and getting support from Food Trucks In, so their websites should soon list the vendors for this event.
Animals plus live music plus food trucks all adds up to an awesome fall day at Roger Williams Park Zoo if you ask us, and you just might see them setting up for the Holiday Lights Spectacular returning November 25, 2022.
