Tonight, a couple of spooky stars are visiting New Bedford in advance of Halloween.

First, Oliver Robins – who played Robbie Freeling in the films Poltergeist and Poltergeist II: The Other Side – will be at The Horror Family, LLC store in downtown New Bedford from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Then, All Elite Wrestling star Danhausen – the face-painted wrestler known for being “very nice, very evil” – will be at Cojo’s Toy World beginning at 7 p.m.

Why Oliver Robins Is Coming to New Bedford

Robins has co-authored a new children’s book Sunset Scares along with his fellow author Dustin Warburton, with illustrations by Jared Gagnon.

Warburton has authored multiple children’s books and horror stories for young adults. He has been friends with Robins for about a decade, working on various projects. They were inspired to write Sunset Scares when Robins was at a horror convention and some young children told him how they didn’t find Poltergeist scary. That led to the idea for the book: what happens when movie monsters no longer scare people?

All three will be at The Horror Family, LLC beginning at 6 p.m. to sell and sign copies of the book, and Robins will also have photos from Poltergeist he can sign as well.

Actually, he’s been here before. Danhausen is making his return to Cojo’s Toy World, for a pre-Halloween meet-and-greet that includes a costume contest.

In addition, Cojo’s will go live worldwide on the Whatnot platform, selling some one-of-a-kind items.

Guess you could say New Bedford loves that Danhausen!
