New Bedford Police Search for Stabbing Suspect

New Bedford Police are searching for a suspect after a man was stabbed Sunday morning in the South End.

A fight broke out between two men around 1:30am Sunday, around County and Winsor Streets. During the fight, one of the men pulled a knife and stabbed the other four times.

The 22-year-old victim was taken to Rhode Island Hospital and treated for stab wounds to his thigh and upper torso.

The victim, a New Bedford man, described the suspect as a Cape Verdean male, about 5'7", wearing a grey sweat suit.
