New Bedford Police Investigate Two Separate Robberies Within 24 Hours
New Bedford Police are investigating two separate armed robberies.
The first took place early Wednesday afternoon at the Quichelenses Market on North Front Street when a black male wearing a hat to cover his face entered the store and demanded all the money from the cashier.
The second robbery happened early Thursday morning at the 7-Eleven on Rockdale Avenue when a man attempted to buy two cartons of cigarettes. When the clerk asked for ID to verify the man's credit card, the suspect threatened to take out a weapon and left the store with the cartons.
He's described as a white male in his mid-20's with a black goatee.
