Three year old Steve Pemberton of New Bedford, MA, was a fair-complexioned boy with blue eyes, a curly Afro, a Polish last name and a victim of insulting and disparaging foster parents who told him he didn't have a 'chance in the world.'  This local, wounded and broken child was destined to become a man of resilience, determination, vision and hope! Steve's phenomenal story teaches us that no matter how fractured our past, no matter how large our misfortunes, we have it in us to create a new beginning!

There will be a special FREE screening of the motion picture "A Chance in the World"at the Zeiterion this Sunday, August 6, 2017 at 3 pm and 7 pm with a panel discussion following the movie with Steve Pemberton and his former guardian.

Steve Pemberton will be my guest at 7:30 am Wednesday, August 2, along with Dagney Ashley, Director of Tourism and Marketing for the City of New Bedford.
