When you imagine a museum, you think of whaling, art, historical, scientific and cultural exhibits, right? Well, here's an idea that will create another local destination: CHOCOLATE MUSEUM. This would not only tell the delicious story of cocoa beans first coming ashore here, but it would tell New Bedford's evolution in chocolate sculptures!

From the minute you walk in to an arresting aroma, guests are greeted by the sight of the Big White Chocolate Whale, the Whaleman's Harpoon Statue, fresh scallops and fish off the boat, to textile mill relics, Joseph Abboud Suits, Titleist Golf Clubs and golf balls and and off shore wind mill - all sculpted in various shades of chocolate. You can add to the list, but you get the main gist of it, and every local company and industry represented can chip in to exhibit their product.
