Those who listen to WBSM for any given amount of time know that the listeners are like one big family. If a regular caller doesn’t call in for a while, other callers will ask if we know what’s going on with them.

There’s something comforting about hearing those familiar voices each day, and we start to care about people we’ve never even met.

Well, we’re about to change that.

On Tuesday, November 21, WBSM is holding its first-ever listener meet and greet. It will happen at Knuckle Heads Bar & Grill, located at 85 MacArthur Drive in New Bedford (just off Route 18), from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m.

We’ll be taking over the downstairs function area to give our listeners a chance to meet one another and put faces to the voices they’ve come to know over the years.

While some of the WBSM hosts and staff will also all be in attendance, this isn’t a “station event.” This is about you, the WBSM listeners. It’s a chance to better understand who the people are with the opinions that you may or may not agree with, but still respect.

There will be food and drink available for purchase, so you can have dinner with your favorite caller, or share a drink with your favorite host.

Hope to see you there!
