New Bedford Police Arrest Man With Cocaine and Firearm
NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — New Bedford Police arrested and charged a man with a lengthy criminal history with drug and firearms offenses following an investigation into a cocaine delivery service in the city’s West End.
According to New Bedford Police, Detective Nathaniel Almeida’s investigation culminated in a search warrant executed on April 24 at 341 North Street, Apartment 1.
Police said the target of the investigation was Brandon Delgado, 40.
According to police, the search turned up 345 grams of cocaine along with packaging materials, and Delgado was found in possession of a .38 special revolver and ammunition.
Delgado was arrested and charged with trafficking cocaine in excess of 200 grams and possessing a firearm and ammunition without a license.
Police said Delgado has 36 adult arraignments on his record and was previously convicted in federal court for cocaine distribution in 2006.
He also had three open felony cases in Fall River District Court at the time of his arrest.
Delgado is being held without bail at the Bristol County House of Correction in Dartmouth.
