Two years after the pandemic first took a toll on the world, Mr. Whaler is returning to New Bedford High School.

On Saturday, April 30, the Mr. Whaler competition comes back to New Bedford High's Bronspiegel Auditorium, 6 to 9 p.m.

"As a school, we felt that it was important to bring back the tradition of Mr. Whaler in order to embrace our Whaler Culture here at New Bedford High School, which we have not been able to celebrate in full since 2020 due to Covid," Class of 2022 adviser and Portuguese teacher Ricardo Aguiar said.

"We are most excited about seeing everything come together on the night of Mr. Whaler, and enjoying the amazing performances that our students have prepared and worked so hard on for their families, friends, our staff and the judges, of course."

New Bedford's Version of "Never Have I Ever..."

New Bedford and SouthCoast people, it's time to play the game where you start with 10 fingers, then continue to put them down one by one for each item you have done as you read through these 25 "Never Have I Evers."
