New Bedford High School Students were sent home Friday due to overnight vandalism at the school. Superintedent of Schools Dr. Pia Durkin says that someone entered the building overnight and sprayed chemicals from fire extinguishers along with materal from the home economic class throughout the building.

Considering the safety of students with respiratory problems, the school was closed.

Dr. Durkin says fire and health officials are going through the school and she hopes to have the school open for Monday.
