Arrested in connection were Christopher Ferreira, 37, and Kayla Kasmouski, 33.

They were both charged with trafficking in 200 grams or more of cocaine, trafficking in 200 grams or more of fentanyl, conspiracy to violate drug laws and possession with intent to distribute crack cocaine.

Kasmouski was also charged with trafficking in fentanyl of 18 grams or more, as well as a warrant arrest.

“This is a substantial amount of narcotics to be taken off the streets, and I’m very grateful for the hard work that goes into an investigation like this,” Police Chief Paul Oliveira said.

“In a time where fentanyl is wreaking such havoc in our communities, we can measure the value of these seizures not only in grams but in the number of lives saved," he said. "A job well done.”
