NEW BEDFORD (WBSM) — Get ready to party like it’s 1985 at Dee’s Hot Dogs in New Bedford this weekend.

Dee’s is turning 40 years old and celebrating with a pair of special events as their way to thank the loyal fans.

“We’re just trying to give something back to our customers for all the support they have given us over the past 40 years,” owner Dee Martin told WBSM.

Dee’s “Tinis & Weenies” Event Friday Night

Tonight from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Dee’s is holding a “Tinis & Weenies” event, a night of nostalgia for everyone to get together and share memories of Dee’s over the decades. There will be small bites, a cash bar, a DJ and a memory wall for everyone to sign.

“Frankly Family-Filled Day” on Saturday

Saturday is when the fun really begins, as there is a full day of family-friendly activities, and it’s all free.

  • 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.: Face painting by Silly Faces By Sarah
  • 3 p.m.: Birthday cake and ice cream
  • 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.: Petting zoo by Blazing Saddles
