Nantucket Man Arrested On Gun Charges

A Nantucket man is under arrest after State Police find a shot-gun in his car.

Thirty-seven year old Amis Carlisle was arrested Friday morning on the island following a traffic stop.

Trooper Kevin Bates searched the Lexus Carlisle was driving and located a Kel-Tec K-S-G 12-gauge dual barrel tactical shotgun.

Carlisle was charged with possession of a firearm without a license, having an unsecured firearm in the vehicle, improper storage of a firearm and operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.

He's scheduled to be arraigned in Nantucket District Court.
