Murder Suspect Held Without Bail

The suspect arrested in connection with Thursday night's fatal west end shooting was ordered held without bail after his arraignment Monday at New Bedford District Court.

According to the Bristol County District Attorney's Office, Syrelle Grace, 18, of Taunton, was arrested Sunday afternoon while with some friends at Horseneck Beach in Westport.

He is charged with the murder of 19-year-old Marcel Francois of New Bedford.

Francois was found suffering gunshot wounds at Harrington Park and later pronounced dead at St. Luke's Hospital.

Grace is due back in court for a probable cause hearing on July 29th.
