Foxboro Fined Morgan Wallen for Gillette Curfew Violation

Don't you just hate it when you're rocking out at a stadium show and the band has to wrap it up to avoid violating the town's curfew? To some performers, it's worth busting through the curfew and paying the fine, especially if you're a cowboy rebel like country star Morgan Wallen.

Wallen was whacked with a fine by the Town of Foxboro recently when his sold-out concert, the first of two, ran 14 minutes past curfew. The town has a strictly-enforced curfew at Gillette Stadium.

The Boston Herald reported that Wallen was fined $0.25 per attendee, totaling $15,705. Those 14 minutes cost Wallen approximately $1,121 per minute.

A search of the internet indicates that last-minute tickets for the "I'm The Problem" tour show on Friday night, August 22, were fetching $232, while seats for the Saturday night, August 23, show were getting $246.

Boston.com reported, "Wallen – who has rocketed to success with a rebellious, devil-may-care persona – likely won't be bothered by the fine."

Special Guests Joined Morgan Wallen in Foxboro

Wallen was joined in Foxboro by special guests Miranda Lambert, Corey Kent and Zach John King. New England Patriots head coach Mike Vrabel joined Wallen on stage for Friday night's show, and Patriots legend Rob "Gronk" Gronkowski joined Wallen on Saturday night.

Morgan Wallen Is No Stranger to Controversy

NBC's Today.com reported that Wallen, who burst onto the music scene in 2014 as a contestant on The Voice, has a history of controversies and legal troubles, including arrests for drunk driving and public intoxication.

NBC said he was also in hot water for violating COVID-19 protocols and for using a racial slur in 2021.

Today.com said the 2024 CMA entertainer of the year "swept the Billboard Music Awards with 11 wins" last year. His 2023 album, One Thing at a Time, set a record for most weeks at the top of the country charts.
