A newly-signed Environmetal Bond Bill contains millions of dollars for projects in Greater New Bedford.

They include some big ticket items like dredging New Bedford Habor, improvements to State Pier, and restoration of Fort Tabor.

But there are smaller projects as well, like $500,000 for a visitors and education center at the Freetown State Forest.

State Representative Robert Koczera says the bond bill also contains $250,000 for the beautification of Nash Road Pond.

All projects contained in the Environmental Bond Bill require authorization from the Governor, and Koczera says he and the rest of the delegation will be working with the new Governor to free up the money.
