Mitchell Confident K-G Urban Will Line Up Casino Financing

K-G Urban Enterprises is continuing to line up financing for its proposed waterfront casino in New Bedford.

Speaking on his weekly radio program Wednesday, Mayor Jon Mitchell says he's spoken with K-G representatives, and has gotten some positive vibes.

Mitchell says "they know what their doing when it comes to financing, and they have lots of contacts in the private equity world where this money would come from, so i'm confident they'll be able to pull it off."

The deadline for when K-G Urban must report its financial backers to the state Gaming Commission is Monday, May 4th.
