Michael Phelps Avenges 2012 Loss, Wins 200M Fly in Rio
The now 20-time gold medalist stormed past the field to take the Fly championship, Tuesday night in Rio.
After jumping out to an early lead following the second turn, the 24-time medalist held off a couple of close competitors to, once again, put his stamp on his signature event and become the oldest individual gold medalist in Olympic swimming history at the ripe age of 31.
Phelps is now 2-2 in avenging 2012 losses, as he swam the second leg of the 4X100 USA Relay team that took gold a couple of days ago.
Both titles are back on American soil, thanks to the G.O.A.T!
