MasterCard Buying Indian Payments Processor

MasterCard is buying a payments processing firm in India.  MasterCard's purchase of ElectraCard Services completes a deal the credit card giant began when it bought a 12 and a half percent stake in the company four years ago.

ECS provides software and electronic payment processing to banks, retailers, and telecommunications firms in more than two dozen countries.
