It's all about ICE everywhere you look in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts these days, and little else seems to matter. Especially when voters are angry, and you need a distraction.

"Pay no attention to the man behind the curtain," a great wizard (or fraudster) once said when he realized the people had figured out he couldn't deliver what he'd promised.

Forget the fact that U-Haul vans and over-regulated businesses are racing for the exits, energy bills are soaring, housing costs are stratospheric, and public benefits are rife with corruption; it's ICE, BABY, ICE!

Nearly two dozen Massachusetts Democratic State Senators, including New Bedford's Mark Montigny, have sent a letter to Governor Maura Healey and Attorney General Andrea Campbell asking them to prepare to "undertake several actions to respond to, and when appropriate, prosecute federal officials who abuse their federal authority here in the Commonwealth."

The ICE man cometh!

Never mind that the ruling class has allowed hordes of illegal aliens to overrun Massachusetts, gobbling up the people's wealth. Never mind that the peasants are marching with pitchforks and torches, up Beacon Hill to the Bastille, demanding an audit.

It's Trump's fault! Sue Trump!

Halfway through the fiscal year, Healey is back seeking her third supplemental budget, having "whizzed" through the first $65 billion we gave her in July.

ICE is coming, and we must prepare. Even cities like New Bedford are getting ready for the next ICE age.

A "Grave Threat": Healey’s Justification for Anti-ICE Measures

This time, Healey, in a letter to lawmakers, is asking for $411 million to fund her anti-ICE legislation because Trump and his administration "pose a grave threat to the safety and well-being of Massachusetts residents."

Healey claims to have "heard and seen the chilling Impacts of ICE's enforcement activity, with people afraid to send their children to school and daycare, afraid to go to church or to doctors' appointments, afraid to report crimes or testify in court."

There once was a time when some in law enforcement cooperated with ICE by handing over dangerous criminal illegal aliens, but no more.

Damn the torpedoes! It's a full-fledged "milk & bread" alert. Danger, Will Robinson! ICE is on the way, and we'd better be ready.

All the other stuff? Eh, it can wait until after the election.
