Democrat Massachusetts U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren is one of the most polarizing members of Congress.

Warren maintains a high profile in the media and solid support in her adopted Bay State but is despised by many who are right of center, especially the MAGA movement.

Born in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Warren came to Massachusetts, where she taught at Harvard Law School. She was elected to the U.S. Senate from Massachusetts in 2012.

Sen. Warren faced a scandal after admitting to falsely claiming to be a Native American, a Cherokee Nation tribal citizen. While the scandal hurt Warren's credibility nationally, her base in Massachusetts remains loyal.

Warren's actions have led to some political opponents referring to her as "Pocahontas."

An offshoot of the cultural appropriations scandal was Warren's contributions to a 1984 cookbook, billed as a collection of recipes from the Five Civilized Tribes. Warren's cousin Candy Rowsey edited Pow Wow Chow.

A deep dive by my colleague Howie Carr pointed to another issue for the good Senator: plagiarism. Warren's so-called "family recipes" in Pow Wow Chow were hokum, lifted from someone else.

The Daily Mail reported, "Radio talk show host Howie Carr released damning evidence that appears to confirm that Mrs. Warren's weren't handed down from generation to generation, they were picked up in the newspaper."

Citing Howie's investigation, the publication says, "It appears that at least three of the five recipes featured in the book were fake."
