Massachusetts Attorney General Maura Healey says her review of daily fantasy sports won't be influenced by the New York attorney general's order that DraftKings and FanDuel stop accepting bets in that state.

Healey told reporters on Wednesday she was confident a ``robust legal and regulatory framework'' could be established that would allow the companies to operate while protecting consumers and guarding against fraud.

The Democrat would not, however, rule out any possibility of the sites being shut down in Massachusetts.

New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Tuesday their operations amounted to illegal gambling.

While Healey said there was little doubt that fantasy sports is a form of gambling, that doesn't necessarily make it illegal.

She promised recommendations by year's end.
