America has had the technology to show closed captioning in public theatres for close to 20 years, and it will come in handy soon as the Department of Justice is pushing for mandatory closed captioning in movie theatres. Were you aware the ADA (Americans with Disabilities Act) requires theatres to show movies with closed captioning unless the theatre can show that it would be an undue burden to do so?

The DOJ is providing advance notice that will mandate movie theatres to show movies with closed captions at least 50 percent of the time. What thoughts do you have on this? Will this have any effect on your movie viewing? The DOJ is soliciting comments from the general public.
