MA Officer Accused of Lying Over Shootout Found Dead

(Millis, MA) -- A former Massachusetts police officer accused of lying about a shootout and calling in a bomb threat is dead.

Bryan Johnson was found dead Thanksgiving morning. Police say they found no signs of foul play and the death is not being investigated as a homicide.

Johnson was accused of calling in a false report in September saying he had been involved in a shootout, which set off a massive manhunt spanning several towns.
