Update, 1 p.m.: A 41-year-old West Bridgewater man was arrested at the scene of Sunday's 4:36 p.m. crash and charged with DUI, said Lt. Ryan Maltais of the Lakeville Police Department. The suspect was behind the wheel of a small black hatchback that was involved in the incident. The suspect was later released and told to appear in Wareham District Court Tuesday morning. Maltais said he could release no further information at this time due to the ongoing nature of the investigation.

The Lakeville Fire Department transported one man to the hospital following a crash involving two vehicles on Sunday afternoon in front of Joe's Gas, a Mobil station and convenience store located on Rt. 18 at the V-shaped intersection of Bedford and Taunton streets.

An adult male was extricated from one of the vehicles and transported to Good Samaritan Hospital complaining of pain and possible bone fractures. Firefighters put down absorbent material to remove hazards caused by the crash, the fire department said in a Facebook post.
