
Falmouth Man Arrested After Lakeville ACE Hardware Break-In
LAKEVILLE (WBSM) — A Falmouth man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Lakeville business late Sunday night.
According to Lakeville Police Chief Matthew Perkins, officers responded to a burglary alarm at the ACE Hardware store located at 352 Bedford Street at about 11:30 p.m. on December 7. Officers arrived to find an unoccupied running vehicle behind the hardware store, and determined the business had been broken into.
What Was Stolen from the Hardware Store
Police searched the nearby area and located about $3,000 worth of power tools on the ground behind the building, Perkins said, “including chainsaws, battery-powered tools, leaf blowers and compressors.”
How Police Located the Suspect
A short time later, officers located a rideshare vehicle in the area and stopped it to investigate. It was determined that the passenger in the vehicle, identified as Kevin Lord, 40, of Falmouth, was the suspect in the break-in.

Charges Filed in the Lakeville Break-In
Lord was arrested and charged with breaking and entering into a building during the nighttime with the intent to commit a felony, and malicious destruction of property over $1,200.
He was scheduled to be arraigned today in Wareham District Court.
