Secretary of State John Kerry says the U.S. is considering drone strikes as an option to combat militant insurgents in Iraq.

Meanwhile, a Navy ship with 550 Marines on board is in the Persian Gulf to support Iraq's Shiite-led government as it deals with a Sunni insurgency that has taken over several key city's in the north.

The U.S. is also adding about 100 soldiers and Marines to the security force at the American embassy in Baghdad.  (Metro Network Inc.)
