The Iran nuclear talks are moving forward toward a possible deal by the end of June. After days of intense negotiations in Switzerland, Secretary of State John Kerry said there are now "parameters to resolve major issues" aimed at curbing Iran's nuclear program. In return, economic sanctions would be lifted.

In a news conference, Kerry called it a milestone and said a nuclear-armed Iran would threaten the security of the U.S. and allies. He said a final deal will be based on proof of compliance, not promises.

Kerry warned that there are a lot of "technical details" and related issues that must be resolved by June 30th. U.S. partners in the talks are France, Britain, Germany, China and Russia.

Congressional Republicans have been critical of the negotiations and threaten to try and kill any agreement with Iran. Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is another fierce critic of the negotiations. Netanyahu claims Iran is not serious about ending its nuclear program and should not be trusted.  (Metro Networks Inc.)
