U.S. Rep. William Keating of Massachusetts wants some changes in the flood insurance program.

He's asking fellow members of Congress to support a bill that would delay the use of FEMA's new flood zone maps that are used to set flood insurance rates.

Keating says flood insurance rates are already out of control for many people.  On the floor of the U-S House this week, Keating talked about the financial woes facing his constituents.....

Keating is calling on members of Congress to support the Homeowner Flood Insurance Affordability Act, that would force FEMA to delay the new maps, and conduct an affordability study first.

The bill would also allow Congress to review the study before new premiums are implemented.
