Massachusetts Senate President Refuses to Apologize for ICE-Nazi Comparison
Massachusetts State Senate President Karen Spilka refuses to apologize for her remarks comparing Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents to Nazis who invaded Poland in 1939, engaging in the systematic extermination of more than three million Polish Jews.
Spilka’s ICE Comparison Sparks Controversy
Springfield-based WWLP-TV 22 reported Spilka told a recent Immigrants Day rally at the Massachusetts State House that "recent ICE enforcement activities reminded her of what her family experienced in Poland as Jews in the 1930s, just before World War II."
Spilka's remarks are insulting and enraging – and it is not the first time she has done this.

In April of last year, Spilka delivered a rare speech from the Senate floor where she accused President Donald Trump, in office for just 100 days, of making America "unrecognizable."
A Pattern of Strong Political Rhetoric
Spilka's rage-filled, TDS-driven diatribe fabricated a tale of "residents being grabbed off the streets – kidnapped – and held with no access to justice."
"As someone who lost family members in the Holocaust, I do not say this lightly," Spilka said. "What we are experiencing in America today is starting to feel like Europe in the 1930s – and it's not just terrifying, it is enraging."
Spilka's remarks drew a standing ovation from even Senate Republicans.
Historical Context of Nazi Comparisons
The Nazis killed an estimated six million Jews as part of the Holocaust. More than half were Polish Jews. Spilka is not the only descendant of Polish Jews and ought to be more sensitive in her comparisons between Nazis and ICE agents.
She is offensive and ignorant of historical facts. She sounds like an idiot.
ICE agents are enforcing U.S. laws by rounding up illegal immigrant child rapists, murderers, drug dealers, human traffickers, and other scum not worthy of living in America.
Polish Jews, on the other hand, were taken from their own homes in their native land by the most evil of evildoers and killed for no other reason than that they were Jews.
Karen Spilka is a disturbed individual who has no business holding office anywhere, let alone in Massachusetts.
